POSITION Shipyard Electrician – New-Build Vessels

START Week 40 or 41
LOCATION Shipyard in the Rotterdam area, the Netherlands
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for two experienced Shipyard Electricians for new-build inland tankers and river cruise vessels. The work will mainly take place at one shipyard during construction and commissioning.
MAIN DUTIES
Pulling electrical cables throughout vessels.
Preparing, stripping, labelling and terminating cables.
Connecting electrical panels, equipment, sensors and control systems.
Installing power, lighting, navigation and automation systems.
Testing electrical connections.
Performing insulation and megger tests.
Working independently from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and cable plans.
Following all applicable electrical and safety procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum five years of recent experience as a Marine or Ship Electrician.
Strong experience with shipboard cabling, wiring and cable termination.
Able to read electrical drawings and cable plans independently.
Good English is mandatory.
Valid Category B driving licence is mandatory.
EU citizenship is mandatory.
Accurate, independent and safety-conscious.
Willing to relocate permanently when there is a good match with the client.
Candidates already living in the Netherlands have an advantage.
CONDITIONS
€600 to €725 net per week, depending on experience.
Good-quality accommodation arranged and paid for.
Company car with fuel card arranged when required for business use.
Health insurance arranged.
BSN registration arranged and paid for.
VCA safety certificate arranged and paid for.
Working clothes, safety shoes, personal protective equipment and tools provided.
Possibility of a direct permanent contract with the client after one year.
