HOBIJ is recruiting:
REMOTE CRANE & FORKLIFT OPERATOR / TRANSPORT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR S to work in The Netherlands.


As a Transport Operator at our client, one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines, you will use a forklift and various cranes, including overhead cranes, to move and process materials.

You play a key role in the workshop, ensuring that others have the right materials and that everything runs smoothly.
You look ahead and make decisions confidently. The process runs smoothly because you always have a clear view of what is happening around you.
Thanks to your initiatives, the welder has his materials on time, and the hulls are in the right place.

As a Transport Operator, you have a responsible job where you work independently.

Some of your tasks include:
• Unloading and transporting hulls and other materials using an overhead crane/magnet crane according to lifting plans
• Scanning hulls and registering plate check-ins
• Performing visual inspections on lifting equipment
• Unloading barges and loading AGVs in the inlet harbor
• Moving hulls, welding aids, and materials
• Using a forklift to separate waste and ensure proper disposal

WHAT ARE THE WORKING HOURS?
You will work Monday to Friday in three shifts: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, and 22:00 - 06:00
25 days vacation days per year, plus 1 week more during winter holidays.
*No rotation possible, but it is generally accepted to have a break every 2-3 months to visit your home country.

WHO ARE YOU?
• you have a VCA Basic certificate in English or willingness to obtain one through HOBIJ
• you have Level B2 of English language
• You have relevant experience in the field, like rigger/ crane operating etc
• A driver's license B
• An aerial work platform certificate (if you only have experience but no certificate, you can obtain one through HOBIJ)
• You are decisive and take initiative
• You are familiar with crane/hoisting instructions
• You have experience with Forklift trucks and ideally have a certificate for it
• Precision and attention to detail
• Willingness to work in our 3-shift system
• Willingness to follow a paid training period before starting work
• Willingness to perform a game-based assessment test during recruitment process, to assess your learning ability, cognitive flexibility and problem solving abilities (online)
• You have Interest for long term job and growth within the company, maybe potential relocation to Netherlands in the future
• You are flexible, driven, motivated and ambitious
