INTRODUCTION
HOBIJ is recruiting plate rollers, bending machine technicians/ operators for one of our top clients one of the largest manufacturers of steel pipes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a Plate Roller, you contribute to the entire production process. In the preparation phase, you receive instructions and drawings.
You work with great precision to create perfectly round shells and cones. In the rolling and welding phase, you set parameters on the rolling machine according to instructions. Accuracy is a crucial aspect of this challenging role, with minimal deviations allowed.
WHAT ARE THE WORKING HOURS?
You will work Monday to Friday in three shifts: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, and 22:00 - 06:00
25 days vacation days per year, plus 1 week more during winter holidays.
*No rotation possible, but it is generally accepted to have a break every 2-3 months to visit your home country.
WHO ARE YOU?
• Level B2 of the English language.
• Practical knowledge of plate rolling machines or experience with press break machines or CNC bending
• A metalworking background and familiarity with how metal reacts when it is under bending stress
• Knowledge and experience with relevant means of transport (overhead cranes, lorries, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Possession of a valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one through HOBIJ
• You are physically fit, analytical thinker and mechanically inclined problem solver
• Precision and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in our 3-shift system.
• Willingness to follow a paid training period before starting work
• Willingness to perform a game-based assessment test during recruitment process, to assess your learning ability, cognitive flexibility and problem solving abilities (online)
• You have Interest for long term job and growth within the company, maybe potential relocation to Netherlands in the future
• You are flexible, driven, motivated and ambitious
• Driving license B
